Dear representatives of news media!
We announce that the accreditation of journalists to participate in the coverage of early election for the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan set for March 20 this year has opened since January 22, 2016.
The resolution of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan on some issues of activities of observers from foreign states, international organization’s and representatives of foreign media during the elections to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan has determined that foreign journalists and correspondents have the right to observe the elections provided they hold a certificate of permanent or temporary accreditation issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Please also be advised that representative of foreign media may be accompanied by one translator upon presentation of the identity document of the latter.
Please note that the procedure for accreditation of foreign journalists (the acceptance of applications for accreditation) ends five (5) working days prior to the Election Day – March 14, 2016.
The list of mandatory documents required for accreditation includes:
- a letter from the editor in chief on the media organizations letterhead;
- a copy of the passport;
- a completed accreditation form;
- an electronic passport-sized photograph and
- a brief biographical note.
