More than 70 major media outlets and 853 journalists were accredited for the event. As a result of the Forum, its participants, especially business sector representatives, were able to sign about 80 agreements and memorandums totaling more than 2.7 billion U.S. dollars, as well as the Astana Declaration.

The Forum delegates also adopted the main directions of the World Anti-Crisis plan and their address to the G-20 leaders. Addressing the Forum participants, President of Kazakhstan, Mr.Nursultan Nazarbayev shared his view on the topical issues, stressing that “Accelerating the process of development of the Global Anti-crisis Plan it is crucial to take into consideration a number of vital lessons that we have learnt over the recent years. As far back as the end of the last year everyone in the world believed that the first crisis of the globalized economy of the 21st century was in the past. Many financial institutes tried to convince us of it”, “I am confident that any anti-crisis plan would be just a band-aid approach without universal credibility”.

Mr. Serik Nugerbekov, Senator, Co-chairman, Eurasian club of scientists association, one of the organizers of 6th AEF, summarized that more than 70 events were held as part of the 6th Astana Economic Forum with a record number of participants this year. «We will continue the AEF promotion, attracting more people to discuss the problems of today. The main thing which we have done this year is that we have adopted the Astana Declaration, which sets out the main lines of the World Anti-Crisis Plan. The Declaration and the recommendations developed by the forum experts will be rendered to managerial level of G20 countries, which will be held in September 2013 in Russia».
